Two Birthdays: 67 + 33 = 100% Awesome!

The first week of April is a no foolin' busy birthday time for the Binghams.

Steve (aka Dad, SteveDad, HeyYea) was born on the 4th, and 34 years later, Will arrived on the 6th.

67 + 33 = 100% Awesome!

 

When Cecilia and Will arrived on Sunday for lunch, Daniel went right away to HeyYea.  "Want a red truck?  Red Truck, HeyYea?  Want a red truck?"  BTW--Don't trust this little guy with any family secrets, especially when wheels are involved, okay?!  Will brought in a bag that D was more than happy to help HeyYea open.

"Want a red truck, HeyYea?"

Mamae and Papai watched as HeyYea fought a two-year-old for his present.

HeyYea used to have an old red pick-up truck.
Now, another one!
That is, if Daniel will share . . .

"HeyYea, the only thing that stands between us and the truck is that box."

Daniel made a dash for the table where all his wheels are.

Mamae and Papai convinced D to bring the truck back to HeyYea
for a little look.

The two gearheads checked it out.

Hunka Cheese showed up on a break from tax preparations
just in time to visit before naptime.

While Little Man napped, we snapped a couple of pictures
and sat down to Mexican Chef Salad.

D slept on while Cecilia made not just one cake . . .

. . . but two!

When our littlest party guest woke up, we all had some silly fun.  The hammock/rede in the room where Daniel sleeps is a favorite place to swing because it makes funny squeaky noises.  "Wanna qweek, GiGi?"  Ready?  Set?  Go! and he and I take off as high as we can--the higher you go, the louder the qweek, right?

Hunka Cheese had fun testing out the rede with his homey.



The game of the day was "all fall down."

 We all worked up good appetites for the two birthday cakes that Cecilia made.

Make a wish  . . .



After an automatic "No thank you," Daniel changed his mind
and decided to eat all of Mamae's cake.
Then they took on another candle.

Deee. Lish.
Great job, Cecilia!

After Steve Jr's opera-singing monkey birthday card,
it may be hard to measure up.  But Will had a herd of cows
that sing several songs.

Each cow has a colored button;
color-coded song notes aid in playing tunes like
"The Moo Danube."

Will opened his gift.

Daniel played more moo-sic.

While Will modeled his manly grey and white striped apron,
Steve told Daniel to divert his eyes.

This is a guy who knows his way around a kitchen.
Now he doesn't need to wear Cecilia's floral apron.
