Chris, Marisa, Zoe, Mia

They Arrived!

By the time I turned around, Zoe was already in the house with Mia right behind.
Mia had on one pink boot, and held the other so she could try catching up with Zoe.
Good luck, little sister!

Hello, Marisa!!

The table was set.

Hello Kitties were waiting.

Books, boots, bells, Lamby, and "Cheelios" for necklace making were at the ready.
(Chris called them Snacklaces.)

It was a barefoot kind of afternoon.
Auntie Sandy helped Zoe and Mia make pinecone birdfeeders.
The girls were off to find places to hang theirs.

Zoe and Mia liked the paths in the yard.
Barefoot Zoe learned quickly that the rock border felt better on the feet than did the crushed granite gravel.
She's more nimble than Nadia Kominic.

After the pinecone feeders were done, the girls took the peanut butter jar to DoDo for help.

The birds didn't enjoy the peanut butter nearly as much as Mia and Zoe.

Sooo yummy and gooey!

Mia finally got both boots on--can you tell she did it herself?!

Zoe and DoDo = Buddies.

Time for family pictures . . .

. . . and family sillies . . .

. . . and family love.

Long-time family friend Judy Furr and her granddaughter stopped by for a visit with the Belgians.

Friend Lynn Montes watched Zoe and Mia eat their Snacklaces,

and visited with Marisa.

Chris enjoyed the Texas winter afternoon.

Zoe giggled after kissing little sister.

Iris chatted in the kitchen.

Zoe tried a little Mutton Bustin'

Mia asked Uncle Steve to help her walk on the rock border.

After dinner, the girls settled in with Papi for Finding Nemo.

BlueBell Ice Cream and Oreos completed a nice day together.

Christmas moments happen at all times of the year, you know.  This beautiful day was definitely one I'll tuck away in my heart as the Konig Beattys prepare to fly back home to Brussels tomorrow.  Thank you, Chris and Marisa, for bringing your family here to steal my heart.
